Here’s what you need to know to ensure a safe journey on our flights.

  • CARRY-ON ONLY:
  • Power banks must be hand-carried and cannot be used inflight.
  • Allowed Powerbanks:
  • Lithium-ion: Up to 100Wh (no approval needed)
  • Lithium metal: Up to 2g lithium per cell
  • APPROVAL REQUIRED:
  • 100Wh–160Wh (at check-in counter)
  • To determine the watt-hour (Wh) rating of a power bank, Wh = (mAh × Voltage) / 1000
  • FOR REFERENCE
  • A 20,000 mAh power bank at 3.7V = 74Wh
  • A 20,000 mAh power bank at 5V = 100Wh
  • PACKING TIPS:
  • Power banks and spare lithium batteries are not allowed in the overhead bin or under the seat.
  • They must be hand-carried and packed securely—tape the terminals, use original boxes, or place them in plastic bags to avoid any risks while flying.
  • PROHIBITED:
  • Damaged, defective, or recalled batteries.
